Ok, for my 1st post on "Forgotten Greats" I'll choose the Jaguar XJ220. The XJ220 was created as the car that would put Jaguar into motorsport racing once again. Powered by a twin turbo charged V-6, the car was one the fastest car on Earth. The car was so expensinve, sell were no where near as expected. Also, 1 XJ220 was entered in 24 Hours of LeMans and placed 1st in class, but was disqualified because the car had catalytic converters, a violation in the LeMans rule book. So yes, the car was initially a failure, causing Jaguar to lose money, rather that making $$$. Today, not many people know what the XJ220 was and Jaguar hasn't done anything good since FORD bought them out. But hey, when you look like this, you'll never be forgotten.
