Ferrari not being fair?
I've been hearing a lot of good things about the 458 Italia, and along with those compliments there are insults to the F430. A lot of them, and that got me thinking, " Did the F430 get a fair deal?" I mean the F430 was a great car, but compared to the 458 it looks ugly, it's slow, it's obsolete. Top Gear did a feature with the 458 and ended up calling the F430 old, useless, ugly, and souless. I don't think it's fair to compare these two cars in the same league because they are two very different cars. The 458 has way more technology than it's older brother. If you put that technology in the F430, it would be more fair, right? Don't get me wrong, I'm not pooping on the F430, it has had it's fair share of reviews. It was once called the best sports car in the world. Now what do you hear these days?
Here's what I'm proposing: Stop calling the 458 the sucessor to the F430. The car is in a higher league than the F430. The F430 is a sports car, the 458 is a supercar, so why compare it to the older car? The F430 has got the worst deal in history...
