The 2012 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.
This weekend I went to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix that is run through a public park and golf course near Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If you click through the gallery, you can see some of the pictures that I took. They include a few shots from the 2.5-liter and above race that was mostly Porsche 914-6s and BMW 2002s. You can see some photos from the paddock where the racecars were being prepared. Some of the highlights there include a Panhard, BMW 700 and Fiat Zagato. There are also many photos from the car show portion of the event. This year the featured marques were MG and Lotus, but there were plenty of other cars there. Perhaps, the most rare car was a Ferrari 250 GTO on display. It is the only one that I have ever seen. The car was not racing but simply on display. There was also a gorgeous Rolls-Royce with an embroidered roof and a Citroën DS23 Pallas. The other rare cars were two older Japanese kei cars: A Subaru 360 that was brought by a local Subaru dealer, and a Mazda Chantez that was there for sale for $5000. Hope you enjoy the pictures. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments.
